The Good Swimmer

Heidi Rodewold, best known for her collaborations with Stew (including the Broadway musical Passing Strange), brings a new song cycle to the Next Wave Festival. The piece, set to lyrics by Danna Di Novelli that draw from found texts, centers on a group of young lifeguards at the start of the Vietnam War, and features a cast of performers in their teens and early 20s. Kevin Newbury directs the world premiere.
