Time Out says

The Irish Rep's Charlotte Moore directs the New York premiere of this 2005 drama, the last full original play by the great Brian Friel (Translations). Set in Friel's fictional town of Ballybeg in 1878, the play explores questions of English colonialism, including a pseudoscientific effort to prove the racial inferiority of the Irish.
