Time Out says
Four friends explore the history of brunch and the cocktails associated with it in a musical companion piece to Anthony Caporale's popular A Spirited History of Drinking, formerly known as The Imbible. The score is by Josh Erlich; Carorale wrote the book, and codirects the show with Nicole DiMattei. Admission includes a modest brunch and three complimentary cocktails, so arrive half an hour early to take full advantage.

Fun afternoon brunch show where you get 3 free drinks with your ticket purchase. Arrive a little early so you have extra time to "make your own" bloody mary with tons of fixings available. Also can grab a few delicious pastries from the famous Amy's Bread on nearby 9th Avenue. Loved the Irish coffee that they give you right around intermission (and you see how they make it, right in front of you!) And a tasty bellini is given towards the end of the show. They also give you a glass bottle filled with water (and individual glasses) at your table so you can "refresh" in between drinks if you wish. The intermission is appreciated as most people need to use the bathroom about an hour into the show. Lots of fun skits and the 2 hours flies by. You'll leave with a nice buzz and learn more about how the drinks are made. A good date activity or something fun to do with friends too.
Where else in New York can you get a Brunch Bar plus three drinks plus an amazing show with a talented, enthusiastic cast. Drop everything and run (don't walk) to see this show. You will leave with a smile the size of the city
Similar to the first Imbible show we attended, this one was fun to enjoy. The drinks were good, the crew was fun/passionate/lively, and the factual nature surrounding the drinks was entertaining on its own. Fun show!
An entertaining and informative spin through the history of brunch.
A loose story connects four friends trying to make a brunch date happen. Along the way, the audience is treated to costumed song and dance numbers that describe particular brunch cocktails. The (three) supplied cocktails are just enough to enhance the overall experience without making things sloppy.
Overall, a blast from beginning to end!
Loved this show. It was funny and so true on what goes on in today's crazy world. You get to sit back and relax - have some cocktails and watch the cast keep you entertained throughout the whole show!
This is also a Funny and Excellent Show !! Nicole and her Cast have this Nailed... They are the best !! All of The Imbible Productions are a Great Day out.. You will Laugh and Have a Good Time ... I always look foward to seeing these shows...
So when in Town (NYC) make your Plans,, You will not be Dissapointed in any Way....

If you are looking for a great afternoon with friends go see The Imbible's - Day Drinking show. The show includes a modest brunch and 3 generous sized drinks. But don't think that you will just sit there and imbibe. Oh no, not at this show. This show centers upon 4 friends who are trying to set a date for brunch but are so busy that they are having problems setting a date. Not only that, but they also question what the big deal is with "brunch".
The whole show answers the question they each have about brunch in an informational and educational manner. With lots of songs, dance and humor the cast is amazing and so talented. Each drink is preceded by an explanation of how the drink came about and how it is prepared. By the time you leave the show not only have you learned about the history of brunch, but you also learn the history of each drink, how to prepare it, how to throw an amazing brunch and you will have a slight buzz. LOL
Brunch, drinks, laughter and a musical..how can you go wrong? I've seen this twice and would go again. I've also seen The Imbible's Spritied History of Drinking and The Imbible's - Rum and Pirates. Two other shows that also are fun, educational, amazing and also give you 3 drinks.
Make a date and take friends out for brunch at The Imibible Day Drinking show, they'll be your friends for life! LOL
Funny and informative!!! I liked brunch before but it's even better now with a better understanding of the science and history behind the drinks. The free drinks help too. Really fun experience!
Thoroughly enjoyed the Day Drinking Show! Terrific cast made for a very entertaining afternoon. Great music, laughs, and a good bit of history about brunch we hope to apply in our future brunch outings. Good fun and not to be missed. Take a friend and enjoy the afternoon!
