The Lady of the Camellias

Shakespeare Downtown returns to the Battery's Castle Clinton with Billie Andersson's new stage version of Alexandre Dumas fils' 1848 novel. Geoffrey Horne directs the production, which stars Andersson as a consumptive courtesan and Zack Ignoffo as her bourgeois swain; the script incorporates elements of Francesco Maria Piave's libretto for the Verdi opera La Traviata, which is adapted from the same story.
