Two by Synge: In the Shadow of the Glen & The Tinker’s Wedding

Synge out, Irish Rep! Charlotte Moore directs a diptych of early plays about marriage by the pathbreaking Irish dramatist John Millington Synge (The Playboy of the Western World): the early one-act In the Shadow of the Glen, in which a young woman trades supernatural tales with a tramp in the wake of her husband's death; and The Tinker's Wedding, in which a priest is hooked into presiding over a quickie marriage. The cast includes Ciaran Bowling, Terry Donnelly, Sean Gormley, Jo Kinsella and frequent Irish Rep MVP John Keating.
