The newest branch of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, which replaced the old Two Boots Pioneer Theater, brings the same sort of cheap, raw and rowdy shows featured on the West Side, though this space focuses more on sketch and stand-up than improv.

I've been here several times to see shows and it has it pros and cons compared to the Chelsea location. Pluses include: You can drink beer while watching the show and there are tons of great food places nearby. Con's: the shape of the theater is a little strange, it can be difficult to hear the performers at time unless they're not projecting super clearly and there's not always a lot of seating. With all that being said the prices are great, the improv is always funny and if you don't like the show you can always walk out and go to 15 other places nearby!

I love this place! Great comedy seven nights a week for $5 weekdays and $10 on weekends, cheap craft beers ($3 and up), and a great atmosphere. Love it.
