10th Annual Bicycle Fetish Day

At the curiously titled 10th Annual Bicycle Fetish Day you will not find dudes chained to Schwinns being whipped with inner tubes (I mean, maybe you will if you ask someone nicely). But you will find seven different bicycle pageants ranging from “Best Vintage Bike” to “Best Ugly Bike” to the grand prize “Best in Show.” You are very much encouraged to bring your own bike, too, so you can show it off or even enter it into one of the competitions. There’ll be a team of guys doing flatland BMX tricks, presentations from bicycle advocacy groups, an epic BBQ feast, as well as a live DJ spinning music. Don’t be thrown off by the “fetish” label: it’s a family event, and the only chain you should bring is the one on your bike. Even if you’re not a regular rider, come and grab a hot dog and check out some seriously cool two-wheelers.
