Time Out says

Beyoncé brought back country music to the cultural zeitgeist through Cowboy Carter, which just so happened to coincide with Alice Randall's release of My Black Country, a book that celebrates the contributions of Black people in that genre. Randall—who was the first Black women to co-write a number one country hit—will talk about her new book with country singer Rosanne Cash and radio host Charlamgne tha God at Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Branch in Grand Army Plaza. The free event is on April 10; be sure to register for tickets in advance.
