The American Dance Guild is turning 70—and they're still kicking. The group is showing off their moves with four nights of celebrating celebrating where American dance has been and where it’s going. From October 22 to 25, more than 30 works will take over Ailey Citigroup Theater, featuring contemporary choreographers and artists alongside guest companies including Ballet Tech, Graham 2 and the Murray Louis Foundation. Each night spotlights a different dance legend: Nai-Ni Chen on Thursday, Paul Sanasardo on Friday, Carla Maxwell on Saturday and Janet Collins on Sunday. The festival also honors choreographer Pat Catterson and dance historian Sally Sommer. Find the full schedule on thier website.
General admission tickets cost $30. Students can attend for $20, and ADG members for $25.
