Time Out says

The documentary producer and director is commonly known for “the Ken Burns effect” (coined by Steve Jobs), which is the slow-motion zooming over still photographs. Burns made several PBS series you probably saw in history class, like The Civil War, and more recently The War. He also directed the critically acclaimed documentary Central Park Five, about five young men of color who were wrongfully charged with the rape of a New York woman. Join Burns and New York Times columnist Randy Kennedy for a night of Q&A, as well as beer, wine and hors d'oeuvres.
