Anna K.E., Teen Factory (New York-Berlin)

The artists presents a literal tale of two cities in a pair of installations concurrently on view in galleries in New York and in Berlin. Linked via live CCTV feed, the interior of the New York location can be seen in Berlin, and vice versa. The pieces themselves both consist of low, irregularly contoured platforms surmounted by standing plywood forms that resemble sandwich boards. Together, they suggest stylized, abstracted cityscapes existing as both physical entities and tele-presences.
