One of Harlem’s most historic theaters opens its doors for this annual weekend event, giving visitors the chance to take self-guided tours of the stage that launched the careers of Ella Fitzgerald and D’Angelo, among others. Catch sneak previews of the Apollo’s 2013 offerings and special weekend programming; on Sunday 10 the Soundstage hosts screenings of documentaries such as Harlem Is…Music (2:30pm) and 2012’s Voices of Love: Whitney Houston and Her Family, which will be followed by a Q&A with director Gary Keys (3:30pm).
