BBQ Films Presents: Garthapalooza

It's been 25 years since Wayne and Garth threw a Waynestock music festival in Wayne's World 2, and daring immersive party monsters BBQ Films are looking to up the stakes with their own modernized fan fest. Envisioning a version of events in which Garth Elgar is visited by Janice Joplin in a dream and inspired to throw an all-women-fronted music festival, Garthfest assembles a killer lineup of female-centric bands. Catch sets by Young Thieves, Lyons and Early Riser, along with Calico Cooper (that's Alice Cooper's daughter) in a recreated version of Aurora, Illinois' Gasworks Club. In traditional BBQ Films fashion, the fan activations will be immense, with a photo booth in Wayne's basement, a screening of the first movie and opportunities for Bohemian head-banging. Cassandra cosplay is highly encouraged. Some proceeds benefit the nonprofit Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls, which provides education to non-binary and women-identifying musicians.
