Forget the "tale as old as time," because CityDanceNY's spin on Beauty and the Beast is a whole other animal. The classic tale of enchanted castles, cursed princes and suspiciously attractive furniture comes to the stage through dance in a production filled with movement, romance and enough fairy-tale drama to satisfy anyone who likes their ballet with a little narrative oomph. It’s a chance to see New York’s young dancers tackle a story that has been haunting our collective imagination since long before CGI got involved.
