Brian Carpenter's Ghost Train Orchestra

Trumpeter Brian Carpenter is the engineer of this big combo, which makes tracks through the back pages of early Harlem and Chicago jazz bands, cartoon music and vaudeville sounds. Expect to hear from the group's latest album, Book of Rhapsodies, which tackles, in Carpenter's words, "strange and beautiful chamber jazz from 1935 through '42."
