This year marks the 27th annual Fleet Week in NYC, where the city honors sailors, the Marines and the Coast Guard. Not only does this mean you’re likely to see a sailor strolling through Times Square, but the city also holds other cool events like the Parade of Ships (consisting of Navy ships and Coast Guard vessels) on the Hudson River, which kicked off the weeklong celebration. Bryant Park hosted Marine Day, where the Marines held a special showcase to display their capabilities and to meet with the general public.
