Perennial provocateur and avowed atheist Christopher Hitchens discusses his new memoir, Hitch-22, which chronicles his friendships both fair and foul (with fellow politicos Noam Chomsky and Martin Amis, among others), his travels and writing, and the discovery of his mother’s Jewish heritage after her suicide. Tonight, he speaks with Salman Rushdie, author of the massively controversial novel Satanic Verses, who fled to the U.S. to escape an Islamic death threat.
