Time Out says

City of Water Day gives us a moment to celebrate the substance that surrounds us and gives us life.

City of Water Day is a celebration designed to get us to appreciate how important all of the water surrounding us is by getting us near, on and into all of that glorious H2O.

There will be more than 60 neighborhood events at the waterfront across all five boroughs, Westchester, and New Jersey from the New York–New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program, including unique activities related to that coastal neighborhood, from hands-on science
workshops to free recreational boating. Check the interactive map to see exactly where!

The Art at the BlueLine exhibition is back at the Seaport District, where artists will present their works at the future high tide line, or “BlueLine,” to highlight how sea level rise and coastal storms are impacting our city. These art installations will offer a lens into the realities of climate change, coastal resilience, waterfront access, and environmental justice.
