Ever wanted to try a spot of salsa, but never got round to it? How about ballroom or Bollywood dancing? Well, no more excuses, because for the next few months Hudson River Park, in association with Dance Parade, is providing free – that's right, free – dance lessons in all styles.
Every Tuesday night throughout June, July and August, wannabe Footloosers should strut over to Hudson River Park's Pier 45 to take part in the 6.30pm beginners classes, which are taught by local dance pros. Then stay for the open dance session from 7.30pm, when dancers of all levels can join in.
