Designing an Era: Boardwalk Empire

How stoked are we for HBO's new drama Boardwalk Empire? Well, the premiere episode was directed by Martin Scorsese, and the series stars Steve Buscemi and Michael K. Williams (known for playing the Robin Hood–esque thug Omar Little on another HBO drama, The Wire); so yeah, we're pretty excited. Tonight, catch a screening of the second episode of the series (which premiered on September 19); following that, the show's creative team will discuss the challenges of designing the Prohibition-era set and costumes.
