Thousands of revelers waving red, white and blue flags will once again line Sixth Avenue for the National Dominican Day Parade, one of New York's biggest cultural celebrations. Taking place on August 9, the annual parade honors the history, culture and contributions of the Dominican community with colorful floats, live music, dance groups and more than 10,000 marchers making their way from 37th Street to 55th Street. Expect merengue blasting from every corner, plenty of community pride and a jubilant atmosphere that turns Midtown into a massive street party. The free parade kicks off at 11am.
