Time Out says

The annual intellectual's festival brings together writers, thinkers and artists from around the globe to discuss moral and ethical issues in an intimate setting. This year's edition is curated by author, journalist and political firebrand Masha Gessen, and focuses on reimagining democracy and considering the future of politics, mental health, borders, gender, work and education.

Among the stimulating panels at this year's edition are "Beyond States and Borders," with Sophia Azeb, Fabienne Brugère, Gauz, Aleksandar Hemon, Guillaume le Blanc and Gessen; "A Post-Work World" with Yann LeCun, Joseph Stiglitz, and Daniel Cohen; and "Rethinking Gender" with Phia Ménard, Eric Fassin, and drag diva Sasha Velour.

Be sure to show up early, as seats at the Albertine bookstore will certainly fill up fast. Best of all, the events are free, so you don't have to open your wallet to expand your mind. Here are some of the best events
