Phil Campbell, author of Zioncheck for President, and Stephen Gyllenhaal, director of the film adaptation, Grassroots (and Maggie and Jake’s dad), discuss the true story, in which Campbell served as the 2001 campaign manager for an upstart Seattle City Council candidate. The flick, which stars Jason Biggs, opens at Village East on July 13.
