Hands on New York Day

Location and time vary, visit handsonnewyorkday.org for details. Help make New York a better-looking city during this annual day of service, sponsored by New York Cares. Volunteers will be dispatched throughout the city to help clean up dozens of parks, gardens and community centers; jobs include seeding lawns and planting shrubs, repairing fences and collecting leaves, among others.
