As you traverse the Long Island City waterfront, hear about the victims of the Hell Gate, the dangerous strait separating Astoria, Queens, and Randalls Island. Stories include the sinking of the HMS Hussar in 1780 and the explosion aboard the ferry General Slocum in 1904.
