Havana Film Festival

New and classic Latin American films will screen at this weeklong festival (through Fri 17), which is primarily held at Quad Cinema. This year’s event features a specially dedicated Cuban series as well as a panel called “Gabriel García Márquez: The Cinephile” about the late writer’s career. All of the films are in Spanish with English subtitles, and the panels have accompanying translators. Go to hffny.com for more information
