Japan Society hosts three days of events to mark the two-year anniversary of the country's 2011 earthquake and tsunami. On Sun 10, see the New York premiere of The Land of Hope, a feature set around the disaster-caused nuclear-power-plant meltdown. On Mon 11, pianist Tomoko Mukaiyama presents audiovisual work Nocturne, which incorporates the music of Chopin, Ligeti and others with Mukaiyama's own music. On Tue 12, hear about the event's impact on Japanese society from Richard J. Samuels, MIT professor and author of 3.11: Disaster and Change in Japan.
