Elvis Costello, Talib Kweli, D’Angelo…If there was one takeaway from the Music of Prince tribute concert, which took place at Carnegie Hall earlier this month, it’s that everybody loves the Partyman. A Tribe Called Quest’s Ali Shaheed Muhammad is yet another devotee; he’ll be deejaying all Prince, all night at the release party for writer and TV personality Touré’s new book, I Would Die 4 U: Why Prince Became an Icon. The author will be signing copies of the work, which includes interviews with the artist’s former bandmates, ex-girlfriends and even Biblical scholars. DJ Kiss spins on Mar 29.
