Time Out says

In honor of Labor Day, learn about NYC's labor history. The Flatiron NoMad Partnership will host a free historic walking tour on Sunday, September 3 titled "Labor History and Madison Square."

Tour guide Mike Kaback will give visitors insight into the history of labor conditions and labor rights in the Flatiron NoMad District in the late 1800s and early 1900s. From stories about the first Labor Day Parade to tales of union rallies to info about strikes, you'll be sure to learn something new on this tour.

The 90-minute tour meets on Sunday, September 3 at 11am rain or shine at the tip of the Flatiron Building, on 23rd Street just east of 5th Avenue. No advance registration is required.

If you miss this weekend's tour, don't worry as the group offers tours weekly.
