Le Nozze di Figaro

Mozart's timeless comedy of errors returns in Jonathan Miller's dusty but serviceable staging, revived with an excess of mugging and pratfalls. The cast, ably conducted by David Robertson, features hunky bass Ildar Abdrazakov as Figaro, opposite Mojca Erdmann as his fiancée, Susanna, along with sprightly mezzo Christine Schäfer as lovesick teenager Cherubino and noble baritone Gerald Finley as Almaviva.
