You’ll be sipping many a White Russian at this annual tribute to the Coen brothers’ 1998 stoner masterpiece, The Big Lebowski. On Aug 22, don your rattiest cardigan or nattiest safari vest for a bowling party featuring Dude-themed trivia and a costume contest, man. On Aug 23, Gramercy Theatre hosts a screening, before which you can listen to punk Lebowski cover band Cover Me Badd. The movie has developed a near-religion around it since it came out in 1998. There'll be some (truly) die-hard fans attending from all over the country. Past attendees have included Steve Buscemi and the Dude himself, Jeff Bridges, so you never know who is gonna show up! Mark it, dude.
