Live United Bridge Walk and Festival

From Foley Square, across from the courthouse at 60 Centre St to Cadman Plaza Park at Tillary St and Cadman Plaza, Downtown Brooklyn. Walk 9:45am, festival 11am–1pm. Cross the Brooklyn Bridge with United Way of NYC and other socially active groups, bringing awareness to education and health-access challenges facing low-income New Yorkers. Registered walkers, who will receive a free Live United T-shirt, can also raise funds for the nonprofit by collecting sponsors on liveunitednyc.org. The postwalk festival in Downtown Brooklyn features food trucks (including Crisp on Wheels and Bistro Truck) and bands (the folky Scarlet Ending and world-music group Brown Rice Family).
