Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that events are still happening.

Hear all about the exciting race between journalists Nellie Bly and Elizabeth Bisland who set forth on November 14, 1889 to travel around the world as quickly as possible to beat the fictional 80-day voyage by Jules Verne. Historian Matthew Goodman will trace their steps, while capturing vignettes of the late 19th century, on Roosevelt Island, where Bly committed herself for her explosive expose on the Blackwell Island insane asylum.
