The long-awaited return of the NY Art Book Fair NYABF is here! After a five-year hiatus, the fair is back from September 11-14 at the same venue, MoMA PS1, where it became a cornerstone of artists' publishing and community from 2009 to 2019.
The event will feature more than 250 participants from over 30 countries, including interdisciplinary artists, collectives, small presses, rare book dealers, institutions and distributors. Also expect book launches, lectures, exhibitions, discussions, performances and workshops, as well as access to the MoMA PS1 galleries.
Some programs include The Classroom series, which offers a dedicated space for publishers to expand on new insights, resources and research. Meanwhile, The Stage program features music, sound and poetry performances.
The opening night celebration will take place on September 11 from 7-10pm and will feature performances and limited-edition artwork by Hassan Rahim. Tickets for the opening celebration are $40, with Friday and Saturday tickets costing $8. Sunday is free with advanced registration.
