Obsolete Cinema presents ShatShow II

For the second year in a row, the analog masterminds behind B-movie–loving Obsolete Cinema are honoring everyone’s favorite space captain in some of his lesser-known roles. Witness William Shatner set off on a bootlegging, bank-robbing rollick through 1930s Texas in Big Bad Mama (1974), then take on a league of flesh-eating super-arachnids in Kingdom of the Spiders (1977). To mark our hero’s 83rd birthday—and the third anniversary of Obsolete Cinema—enjoy complimentary birthday cake along with the usual happy-hour specials, trivia contests and prizes.
