The fifth annual festival of all things audio kicks off this weekend with a line-up of the biggest names in radio and podcasting as well as celebrities, including Yo-Yo Ma, Jenny Slate, Mona Chalabi, Drunk History's Derek Waters, Louder Than Riot's Sidney Madden, Rodney Carmichael, Ophira Eisenberg, Terry Gross, Roxane Gay, Object of Sound’s Hanif Abdurraqib, Code Switch’s Shereen Marisol Meraji and Gene Demby, Song Exploder’s Hrishikesh Hirway, Switched on Pop’s Nate Sloan and Charlie Harding, and The Nod’s Brittany Luse & Eric Eddings. This year’s festival will reimagine the annual live event with a virtual stage, community lounge, and a sound gallery of official selects—a series of short form audio stories. Don't miss filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola discussing his career and work with Radiotopia’s or a change to go behind the scenes of Beginner's Mind with Yo-Yo Ma and Audible’s Preston Copley. You'll want to tune into Ben Folds' chat with Derek Waters about songwriting and new projects. There will also be an after-party co-hosted by Bandsintown that will feature a live performance by the indie band Whitney. Check out the full line-up here. This year's fest is free.
