New Yorkers are spending more time in the open air than we used to (thank you, bike lanes), but it’s still good to have a little push out the door. That’s exactly what OutdoorFest, a ten-day lineup of activities, classes and volunteering opportunities, aims to do: get apartment dwellers to engage with the natural environment around the five boroughs. Look up the full schedule to save your spot for outdoor yoga, fishing, walks, nature-film screenings, trivia, bouldering, surfing and, naturally, beer drinking—can’t miss that.

I've done this for the past two years. It's VERY cool. Definitely check it out if you're an outdoorsy type and you want to connect with like minded people in the city.
