Time Out says

Twin Star Orchards in Hudson Valley’s New Paltz, just 90 minutes away from NYC, is throwing a Labor Day Weekend bash with a pig roast, apple picking, a kombucha workshop, live music, fresh apple cider and cider doughnuts, and more.

The pig roast will take place on Sunday from 4 to 7pm with slow-roasted pork platters ($17) and sandwiches ($14), both accompanied by housemade coleslaw and sweet Hawaiian buns, plus a free cider tasting with advance ticket purchase for the two sessions (4pm-5:30pm & 5:30pm-7pm). T

On Sunday at 10:30am, Phaedra Robinson of Phaedrea’s Phermenting Kitchen will lead a Kombucha Making Workshop. It is $25 to participate and includes everything you need to make your own kombucha. Participants will learn all about kombucha, what it is, how to ferment it and leave with a half-gallon of kombucha brew!

There will be free live music Friday through Sunday as well.

You can also pick bushels of apples starting on Friday. There is no entry fee to enjoy the orchards and apples are priced by the weight ($10 for a half peck, $18 for a peck and $30 for a half bushel).
