Catch a flick while sitting outdoors, smack-dab in the middle of New York City at Standard Plaza's seasonal pop-up, The Forest. Now through the end of February, the Meatpacking destination is hosting Pix on the Plaza, an outdoor film series featuring movies by Black directors or with notable Black actors every Tuesday through Sunday.
Each weekday will feature a themed screening, including Get Out, Black Panther, Girls Trip, Disney’s The Princess and The Frog, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, What’s Love Got to Do with it, Poetic Justice, Love & Basketball, The Bodyguard, House Party, Purple Rain, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (w/ Whitney Houston & Brandy), Creed, Boyz N the Hood, Coming to America, The Bodyguard, Bad Boys, Sister Act 1 and Sister Act 2.
Perhaps the best part of the affair is that guests get to order from a full menu of Standard Grill fare while enjoying some complimentary popcorn.
