Time Out says

Have you heard that America turns 250 this year? Yeah, it's apparently a big deal, and the New York Public Library is marking the occasion with one of its most ambitious exhibitions ever. Declaring America: 1776 and Beyond fills multiple galleries at the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building with founding documents, protest artifacts, artworks and rare historical materials tracing the nation’s story from the Revolution to today. The exhibition explores New York’s role in America’s founding while examining the enduring debates around liberty, citizenship and democracy—you know, all the stuff that we're somehow still arguing over two and a half centuries later. Now open, it runs through January 10, 2027.
