Samba Sunday

Part of the weeklong Brasil Summerfest, this free day-into-night cultural dance festa will post up at the scenic South Street Seaport, filling Pier 17 with an energy to rival Rio’s. No formal dance lessons will be given, just follow the rhythym set by the Harlem Samba Group. Making its U.S. debut, acclaimed Brazilian samba band Casuarina will perform, and local food vendors, such as the East Village tapas joint Bikinis, will be on site to fuel you until the sun goes down.
