Sara Greenberger Rafferty

Rafferty's past work has included photos with runny colors that resembled watercolors or magazine images left out in the rain. Her latest show offers an update on the technique of reverse glass painting, with layers of ink-jet–printed images and paint applied to the backs of Plexiglas panels. Much as in her earlier pieces, the results here have a haunted, unresolved quality.
