Time Out says

Now you can take your happy hour from the rooftop to under the sea at National Geographic Encounter this month through June.

The Times Square attraction is opening its Ocean Odyssey exhibit to visitors who'd like a drink after their "dive" into its stunning, photorealistic animation of life under the Pacific Ocean from 4 to 8pm.

The attraction, which opened in 2017, takes explorers of all ages through a 60,000-square-foot space to enjoy virtual interaction with sea lions, rays, dolphins and see virtual humpback whales, great white sharks and Humboldt squids. Ocean Odyssey uses photo-real animation, huge projection screens, immersive sound and has an area where guests can engage with interactive technology (photo areas, touch screens, holograms and games involving ocean conservation/research).

Presented by Lillie's Victorian Establishment, anyone who purchases a ticket for the attraction on Fridays and Saturdays February 14 through June 28, will get a free glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage at the end of the experience.

Even better, a portion of ticket proceeds goes toward the National Geographic Society's nonprofti work in conservation, exploration, research and education.
