Sneak Peek at Freshkills Park

This daylong fair gives visitors an update on the project, which will turn what was once the world’s largest landfill into a 2,200-acre park. Walking and kayaking tours throughout the day will show the progress the city has made in developing the spot, while art installations, food vendors, bird-watching tours and a craft market featuring local artisans provide additional amusements.
