Steven Sussman: Jazz, Seen

Jazz photography comes into focus with Jazz, Seen, a new exhibit of Steven Sussman's photos of musicians in performance at The Jazz Gallery (1158 Broadway). Celebrate the opening with Sussman himself at a reception from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, September 10. Since he first started photographing jazz performances in 2002, Sussman's work has been as spontaneous and in-the-moment as the musicians in his photos. The free event offers a chance to see the exhibition before heading into the Gallery’s evening programming, which includes the Roy Hargrove Big Band Monthly Residency.
