Stranded V: Laboratory

630 Flushing Ave between Marcy and Tompkins Aves, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. A former pharmaceutical headquarters opens its doors for experiments in art and nightlife at Winkel & Balktick’s Stranded V: Laboratory. This year’s edition takes a sci-fi turn; past events transported attendees from NYC to a sweet dessert island (2008), the Galapagos (2009) and the Forbidden City (2010). While we wouldn’t want to jeopardize the scientific method with assumptions, you can expect an immersive Burning Man–type vibe to take over the 50,000-square-foot warehouse floor.
