The Amazing Bronx River Flotilla

Explore the newly opened Starlight Park during this event, which kicks off with a 5K charity canoe race. After cheering on the teams, make use of free bike rentals, guided canoe trips, fishing lessons and more at a family-friendly festival (1–4pm). History buffs can learn about the old Starlight Park—an amusement park that operated in the ’20s and ’30s—on the gratis Ramble tour of the surrounding neighborhood run by Bronx River Alliance (meet at West Farms Sq, Boston Rd at East Tremont Ave, Bronx; 10am–noon; free).
