Time Out says

This screening is part of the Rubin Museum's Cabaret Cinema series and explores the power of religious icons. The Holy Mountain is an avant-garde 1973 mind trip that has since become a cult classic. Chilean filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky's narrative sees his main character crucified and then enlisted by an alchemist to seek immortality. Rich in allegory and sacrilegious imagery, the film will be introduced by poet and visual artist Igor Satanovsky. The screening is free with a $7 bar minimum.
