"The NEXT New York Conversation: Stop and Frisk"

A panel will look at NYC's controversial “stop-and-frisk” policy from several angles, including its effects on the crime rate and on everyday life. WNYC's Bob Hennelly moderates the group with participants David Kennedy, director of the Center for Crime Prevention and Control at John Jay; Paul Butler, former public prosecutor and George Washington law professor; Robin Steinberg, founder and executive director of the Bronx Defenders; Garry McCarthy, Newark police director; and Heather MacDonald of the Manhattan Institute.
