THNK1994: "The Fantasy of Celebrity Perfume"

THNK 1994 has proven to be a true bastion of highbrow millennial nonsense, with pop-up exhibitions like "Olsen Twins Hiding from the Paparazzi," "Nicole Richie's 2007 Memorial Day BBQ" and "David's Dead: A Celebration of Tiffany Pollard. Now, the small-scale museum returns with a new exhibition, this time focusing on the art and artifice of celebrity perfume. Look back through ten vivid renditions of legendary ad campaigns, including "White Diamonds" by Elizabeth Taylor, "Ari" by Ariana Grande, "Minajesty" by Nicki Minaj and, of course, "Midnight Fantasy" by Britney Spears, all illustrated by artist Miriam Carothers. The limited-edition, two-day pop-up opens with a reception on Friday, December 28 from 6–9pm at 246 East 4th Street, and ends with a New Year's Eve bash at Meme's Diner. Though the exhibition is free, you should show up early for the New Year's Eve party and make reservations in advance.
